Eric Adams, the frontrunner within the upcoming Democratic mayoral main, picked up an endorsement from the mom of the Bronx teen whose bodega beating demise shocked the town.
Leandra Feliz, Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz’s mom, endorsed the Brooklyn borough president and former cop throughout a Friday rally towards gun violence in Harlem.
“Junior” was savagely stabbed by a gaggle of Trinitarios gang members in a case of mistaken identification in 2018.
The heinous Belmont homicide of the 15-year-old aspiring police officer was caught on safety footage and made nationwide headlines.
“That was horrible. All people bear in mind what they did to Junior, an harmless child, solely 15 years previous,” Feliz stated.
“All people noticed the movies, how they abused him. We have to cease the violence. We’d like……to have the Metropolis protected once more. I would like justice for Junior and I would like justice for all.
“That’s why I endorse Eric Adams for our new mayor in New York Metropolis. We’d like any person with expertise. We’d like any person who is aware of the best way to (deal) with … crime. We’ve to cease the violence. We’d like a powerful hand to cease the violence. Let’s work collectively,” the grieving mom stated.
